I was really sleepy last night when I was typing the 1st Chapter of ~ My Feel Good Box~.
Now I'm all up to continue with the 2nd chapter..
Talking about the messages , hehe.. I got a few too from my beloved kids ! It was really sweet when Shalihin came to me, smiling all the way and said ' Teacher, this for you'.. awww ... I was really touched.Never expected he would give one to me.

The message written was :
Dear Mdm Zeezah,
Thank you teacher for teaching and guiding me to get A+ for B.I ..
InsyaAllah
Doakan untuk kejayaan saya,
Aaaw.. that's so sweet of you Shalihin. I didn't expect that he would have given me the message because he is such a quite boy in class. So, for him to actually come to me, well..it's kinda a big thing for me . TQ my dear.
The next message is from Kyna. It was written:
Teacher, I love you.. I adore you too.. Sorry for everything...
I love you too Kyna !!!!
But , the one that I love the most is from my dearly Hanna Rafi'... She is one of the closest students to me. She's more like a baby sister than a student to me..(Hush..Hush...She doesn't know about this..ngee..). We always have something to argue and we are crazeee people ! Haish... Hanna..Hanna....
It was written :
Madame Zee,
You've taught me a lot in life.
You're a wonderful teacher,
at least you are to me :)
I love you,
and you know so :)

Sobb...sob... I almost had tears in my eyes when I received the message from her.. So, I think you know what happened when I read it. Hahahahah!!!
Well, the objective of the 'My Feel Good Box' is to help the students to feel good, loved and appreciated whenever they are down. The box is more like their treasure box which they have their valuable stuffs in it. So, whenever they are down or toooo stressful (trial is just around the corner you know..) they can just open their boxes and looked at the wonderful pictures they have, and read those messages given by their friends. How would you feel when your friends say something good about you? Of course we'll feel happy! We'll feel loved! We'll feel appreciated. But, I think it's not our culture to actually express our feelings. and I bet the kids are also shy to express their feelings verbally. so, writing a love message to our loved ones is another great option.
Expressing our feelings is one thing. Another thing which we are not exposed to is, ACCEPTING COMPLIMENT. I had conducted the same activity with 2 Form 2 classes and when they read their friends' messages , they made faces (especially when their friends said they are sweet, beautiful, caring..- all those positive things). They just refused to accept the compliment. How then???
I think I have a lot more to do as a teacher. I don't want to just teach them about Grammar, Preposition, Subject Verb Agreement... For me, the best subject matter to be taught to the kids is LIFE. Yes ,LIFE... I want the kids to ENJOY their lives.. I want them to EMBRACE their lives... and this can only be achieved if they LOVE themselves UNCONDITIONALLY first. In order to LOVE ourselves, we must be able to ACCEPT who we are. and we can start this by accepting all the compliments from people with OPEN HEARTS.
